Every passenger has their own bucket list – whether they call it that or not. You can’t travel and take notes on the next places you want to go, the next things you want to do. Clearly, the whole thing is personal: each list is probably completely different from the other.
But if you’re on extreme trips, there are some absolutely mandatory tasks if you want to strengthen your position as globetrotting bad. Many other lists in this sense will give you exact details (Climb Everest! Ski K2!), But on an adventure trip you have to make it your own and do something you’ve never done before. Then fill in the information yourself. But here are some things you definitely need to do.
BUNGEE HOP
It is an activity that involves jumping from a tall structure while being tied with a large flexible string. It’s a great free fall experience, especially when you’re doing it off a cliff or beach, as it’s upside down and still as beautiful as the original version.
Where to try: Macau Tower, Macau
You dive from a height of 233 meters and experience a 4-5 second free fall before stretching the nearly four times unloaded length of a 50-meter-long bunny’s wire and jumping back about 30 meters above the ground.
Mountaineering
Climbing is more challenging than a freak. You can practice at local shops before you hit bigger boulders. As such, there are many places in India where climbing becomes really exciting and evokes primary instincts in you.
Where to try: Wadi Rum Valley
On sandstone cliffs, the elevations rise up to 1800 meters above sea level. Top ropes, climbers, boulders, vertical terrain find a great place to practice and hone your technique.
CLIFF FACE CAMPING
Dangerously hanging in tents from 1,200 feet of vertical mountain surface would not be an idea for most people for a perfect camping trip. But some brave climb rocks and set up their tents thousands of feet higher.
Where to try: Mount Laojun, China
Sleep in anchored tents as you sit on a 1,700-foot cliff, and be rewarded with breathtaking views of the cloudy sea that fills the valley below.
Snorkeling and diving
Diving is a form of underwater diving in which a diver explores the best parts of the marine world using breathing apparatus. The best dive spot would be close to some underwater shipwrecks as they attract a lot of marine life, the view too good to be true.
Where to try: Aqaba, Jordan
In the northeastern part of the Red Sea, Aqaba is the only coastal city in Jordan. It has beautiful native coral reefs and about 30 dive sites. Snorkeling and diving are two of the most popular water adventure activities in the area.
ATV ride
ATV, short for off-road vehicle, also known as ATV, is an important activity in the desert or on a sandy beach. If you’ve seen enough action movies, don’t miss the road rash.
Where to try: Wadi Rum Valley, Jordan
Despite being called the unofficial adventure capital of the Middle East, Jordan is still a largely unexplored region. There are trails waiting to be explored, and an exciting way to do it is to rent an ATV and get on the road.
RAFTING / KAYAKING
Skydiving is an experience of three together. You have to fly a jet, jump out of the plane and then fly with a parachute to land. It’s the perfect experience for anyone who just wants to let go.
Where to try: New Zealand
A solid favorite is Fox Glacier, an 8-mile glacier in the remote Westland Tai Poutin National Park on the west coast of New Zealand’s south island. When you fall in a free fall, kneel before the wind, admire the views of the wild coastline of the Tasman Sea and the snow-capped peaks of the Southern Alps.
Developed as a combination of skateboarding, sledding, surfing and cross-country skiing, snowboarding is a winter sport where you walk down a snow-covered slope while standing on a board attached to a rider’s feet using a special shoe fitted to an attached bandage.
Home to numerous lakes, villages and the high peaks of the Alps, Switzerland is also known for its ski resorts and hiking trails. It is the perfect place to start a snowboarding trip.
Surfing is a surface water sport in which a wave rider, also known as a surfer, rides a moving wave on the front or deep surface that usually takes the surfer ashore.
